Ana Alexandrescu

Ana Alexandrescu (b. 1981, Bucharest, Romania), studied Philosophy and Journalism (with a Diploma thesis on The Aesthetics of Photojournalism). She has worked in the Romanian Press Agency (Agerpres) writing on foreign politics topics and now is a writer (publishing short stories) and freelance photographer. She attended the courses of “Francisc Mraz Poetical Photography School” in 2012. She has had photo series published by various online publications (LiterNet, Kiosk der Demokratie, VICE Romania, Photo Team etc.) and has participated in exhibitions in Romania and abroad (France, Poland, Moldavian Republic, Bulgaria, Serbia). In 2017, she was among the ten finalists of the International Women Photographers Award (http://iwpa.fr/).
