Born in Athens, Greece. Currently based in New York City. Having received little formal schooling in photography, Dimitri started photographing seriously and consistently about six years ago, after moving to New York to pursue a graduate degree in psychology. His works have been exhibited in Greece, Barcelona, London, Berlin, New York and Santa Fe, and are kept in private collections in Europe and the United States. Dimitri has received several awards for his work, including 2nd place in CENTER’s 2011 Editor’s Choice awards, 1st runner-up in Blurb’s Photography Book Now 2011 contest, and 1st place in the Fotoweek DC Fotobook competition in 2012. Finalist for the Fotovisura Grant as well as the Magnum Expression Award.
